Model Perintis (Pioneering Model)

To those of you who are going for king's scouts, this is what I did for my model perintis (pioneering model). Took me...

a while to stop procrastinating  (thx my scouting comrades for moral support)
a day to plan out what to build (thx Rachael *2nd sis who is an architect for ideas*)
an evening to saw bamboo from grandma's place (thx MOM for helping me)
3-4 days just to slice bamboo (thx DAD for touching up the badly sliced ones)
2 days to cut bamboo to desired length (thx GREAT-GRANDPA for opening the hardware store)
2 days to smoothen and tie the main structure and platform. (thx SENIORS for advice)
2 days to shellac the whole thing multiple times.(thx BRO n CAT for moral support)
1 day to touch up some stuff (thx Beng Jie for awesome ideas n support)

All in all, it took me.. 1 week+ and all I can say is.. couldn't have done it without my fabulous scouter (thx SHANG SHI) whom I constantly bugged to ask EVERYTHING(no joke there). At the age where normal teens are dating and what not, there I am...pathetically texting my scouter(life of a king's scout candidate =/). Anyways,I swear to god, I couldn't have done it without his supervising and patience. Many a times I wonder how he wasn't annoyed about constantly having to reply me.(paranoid much). Anyways,APPRECIATE IT VERY MUCH N THANKS!

Moving on.. This is what the completed(not quite) model looks like. The complete version has a netting in the middle hanging from the triangle,so that assuming if it were a life size pioneering tower, less people would fall off.and die.(touch wood!)

     Sliced bamboo.(satay sticks?hahahahha.NO)
Roughly pencil size

Main structure
(according to seniors, once you're done tying, throw it to check the firmness of knots
or in malaysian language..)
"campak n see ,if koyak then do again".

The top part structure for platform.

Start of the platform.
Making the platform was.. lots of work

 Endless measuring and cutting..
 Muahahhaa~looks good :D
One side done, 2 more to go.
It was a real challenge as some of the pieces fall off if you didn't tie it properly
 human VS platform
HUMAN WINS*victory dance*
The inner fence.

Before shellac
Somehow it looks like a Japanese sushi roller.
Lots of people ask me not to shellac it but...yeah =/

Plan of the pioneering model

*victory dance*

Good luck to those of you attempting to make your pioneering model.Great experience as lots
of patience is needed :)

Clapperboard

The movie scene cutting thingy where people shout.. "CUTTTTT!" and it goes.. "pak!"
I made it earlier this year since a group of classmates were shooting a video for our project.

me-mustache :3

I cut 3 cardboard from a box and wrapped it with black paper.

I draw lines on 2 small cardboards.
Le random white buncho paint appears again~~

and then a small cardboard to hold the clapper together.

It has to be mobile so I pinned it with a thumbtack...

and bent the shard edge to hold it together.

and wrote some stuff on the big board~

TA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

yes, that is me being pathetic-ly awesome with my clapperboard :P
(I'm a scout btw,ignore the BSMM sign =] )

Cork Bunny !

There was a cork lying around the house sooo.....

Here you go~

Paint the whole thing!!

Make Bunny Ears!!! and stick it to the bunny head!

Cut out some specs =]

 Give bunny a scarf!!
and TA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA =]

How to spike up ur study mood

So I'm suppose to be studying bio ,but yeahhhhhh (no mood)
And I was staring at my Biology book and I'm like.. gawwd.. this book looks so... ugh..
which is why I turned it into this  TA-DAAAAAAAA
GALAXY-X BIO REFERENCE BOOK (not for SALE)

This is what it originally looked like... (dog ears and all T^T)

Then I wrap it with color paper and wrote Biology on top

Then I drew a cat(i think it's some jungle cat) on top

No bio book is complete without a lion (even though I don't learn about lions in it )

and then put your name in and wrap it . TA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

Finished product (cool cup eh? x) )
